Why, hello.
I am sitting on the couch of our new place in Roanoke, VA. The windows are open, there is a great breeze again today, and I don't have to be at work until Monday.
And on Monday, my commute will be all of 10 feet to the "office" we are setting up in our sun room.
The cat made the trip. He is happy to not be in his carrier anymore.
It took us almost 4 days exactly to get here from CA, and it was a great drive.
I discovered eating at Cracker Barrel.
My kitchen is organized and ready. So are the video games and movies. The rest is happening as soon as we can get to it. The goal is by Saturday night. We shall see.
I plan to be back in May with regular posting. And pictures of home and the area.
And of course, the next step in the whole baby thing. We haven't forgotten that.

9 Days and Counting...
The living room is barren.
The kitchen is almost there.
Our bedroom is down to the bare minimum in furniture.
We have 9 days in our home here before we start the next phase of our lives together.
9 Days.....
Where did the time go?

Tired of Peeing on a Stick
Thanks to the joys of PCOS, I never know when the next cycle will happen. I also realized that I could max out a credit card with what I would be spending on ovulation predictor kits if I didn't find another way.
Thanks to my writing, I have discovered some others trying to do this thing. One of my favorites to read has become Busted Kate over at Busted Plumbing.
Her sense of humor and look at things made me laugh from day 1, and I look forward to her next update every time I log on.
She's reviewed a few items, and the most recent one has peaked my curiosity. An actual microscope that you can use over and over again. She goes into detail on her most recent review, and is currently hosting a contest to win one of your own.
So, if you are like me and need all the help you can get with things, go visit, read what she has to say, and enter her contest.

Time Out!!
It's been a long couple of weeks.
No, we aren't pregnant. There were 4 days of sore nipples and light cramping that had us hoping. But in the end the spotting started and things just didn't happen.
Yes, I cried. But felt instantly better when A told me if I wanted to try again this month before leaving that he was all for it. But the timing sucks, so I told him we needed to move first. The plan is to get settled, find an OB/GYN and schedule my annual for this summer. Once that is set up, and the appointment done, I will talk to this new doctor about getting back to business. We are both willing to try the IUI a few more times, so at least we have a plan we are comfortable with.
There has been some changes with the family here, but that is on the list of things we do not discuss on a blog. Just think happy thoughts for us all, especially my brother, and I promise the same in turn for you and yours.
We leave in 16 days. Right after work on the 21st we will be hitting the road and moving on. I cannot tell you how anxious we are to get started on the drive and get to our new home.
So, for now it's time out for the doctor induced pregnancy. The new complex has a fitness room and places to walk. The plan is to get back on our diet, and once we do start walking and working out together. If I can lose some of this weight and get my mind in the right place, there is always the possibility we'll get things working naturally.
The packing is nearly done. It's scary how organized we are over this thing. It never works like this for either of us. But it's looking good...
So, I apologize for the scarceness of news. I spend my evenings going through cooking magazines to pull recipes I really want and then recycle the rest of the magazine. That and packing parts of the kitchen that I know we can do without.
Trust me, if anything changes you all will be the first to know! Well, after I call my mom...
